Rapid test for the detection of Helicobacter pylori urease activity in gastric biopsies. Exclusively for use in vitro diagnosis.
Principle of the test
Helicobacter pylori is characterized by its ability to produce urease, an enzyme capable of cleaving urea into ammonia and bicarbonate, according to the following reaction:
The high local ammonia concentration allows the bacterium to survive even in a gastric environment with a very low pH. The AMA RUT 10 test is a rapid quality test to determine Helicobacter pylori in biopsies within 3 minutes.
